This is not a war where pacifism (or isolationism) has the moral high ground. Pacifism, at the moment I write this, is doubtless having a severe crisis of conscience and philosophy. Pacifists have been notably silent in Putin's war. Not one has talked to Herr Putin and asked him personally to stop his war. The Russian president has put the problem pacifism has into the bright spot light of history. Right now Ukraine is fighting for peace like the Allies did in WWII. This is an existential struggle of resolve, endurance and the righteousness of their cause. The Ukrainians know it too. What do pacifists and isolationists have to offer? Letting Russia take any nation it wants is my guess. While Pacifism is very seductive, it is an extreme philosophy because it does not square with human nature. quote> Take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Elie Wiesel
