Neoconservatism—Neocons

  • Followers of Leo Strauss picked up on his complex conservative philosophy and codified a manifesto for Imperialism.
  • Beginning with Nixon, the Neocons began infiltrating the US Government.
  • By the time of Bush II, Neocons were in numerous key positions in all three branches of government. For six years they controlled both the Congress and the Presidency, the latter for eight years.
