Bring charges against the detainees or close it.

490 men are held in this military prison. We can find no legal or moral reason for keeping most of them there. Most never belonged to al Aq'ida or fought for the Taliban.

If either could be proved, even for a few, why have there been no significant charges? A recent executive order to move forward with charges has changed that, but why so late, and why only after a lot of political pressure? And we have seen so monay promises not kept, we wonder if this one will be.

Many of the Guantanamo detainees were handed over to the US in Aghanistan for their bounty, not because international crimes had been committed. See: Detainee Accounts
